Mission Statement

T.MAJ Dance Company is a New Jersey based company whose mission aims to research, develop, present and create an evocative multidisciplinary body of work. The work of T.MAJ is a deep investigation of the self, while honoring the mystery of the paradoxes of life. By maintaining a vision to create innovative movement-based works that are extremely humanistic, TMAJ holds a core commitment to examine the unethical issues in history that are though provoking. In our exploration of movement, we debate about social change and a myriad of other topics. In an effort to creating a new avenue, T.MAJ’s performance works strive for authenticity in movement that shows the potential of the human body and its capacity for deep physicality; We investigate the intersections of history and movement. In its reach for a breakthrough, T.MAJ Dance Company uses dialogue, text, media and movement to provide a strong sense of storytelling about worldwide minorities while acknowledging the past, present and future.
