Mission Statement

Under the artistic direction of Titilayo Majoyeogbe, T.MAJ Dance Company’s mission
aims to create a surreal experience charged with mystery and analogy that invite viewers for
interpretation. Pushing the boundaries of creative movement, our inspiration is derived from the
sociopolitical issues of worldwide minority groups. By maintaining this vision through
movement, T.MAJ holds a core commitment to examine unethical issues in history such as
racism, police brutality and women rights. We research, develop and create to present an
evocative multidisciplinary performance that reveals the paradoxes of humanity. In an effort to
create innovative movement-based works that are extremely humanistic, T.MAJ explores human
form and its capacity for deep physicality that conveys emotion, thrilling bodyline articulation
and dynamic shifts in energy and flow.
